Price
Both use the same playbook: a low headline rate locked to a multi-year term, then a higher renewal. In our four-year cost model Hostinger came out clearly cheaper, mainly because Bluehost's renewal step-up is larger. Neither publishes a stable number, so check both sites for the current figure, and always look at the renewal rate, not just year one.
Control panel
Hostinger's hPanel was the easiest to navigate for a first-time user in our task tests. Bluehost puts a simplified dashboard in front of cPanel; experienced users may prefer having real cPanel, but new owners had to hunt for common settings.
Support
Bluehost gave us the slowest chat responses of any host in our small-business hosting test. Its advantage is a real phone line, which Hostinger does not offer. If you want to call a human, that alone may decide it.
